1. About these Terms

MailRelic is developed and operated by Ante Tomić, Croatia ("we", "us"). These Terms apply when you download, install or use MailRelic, including the free edition, and when you use a MailRelic Personal licence. If you do not accept them, do not use the software.

MailRelic Personal is sold by Lemon Squeezy as merchant of record, under its own buyer terms (section 8). How we handle personal data is described in the Privacy Policy.

2. What MailRelic does

MailRelic is a desktop application for Windows 10 or Windows 11, 64-bit. It opens Outlook PST files in the Unicode format used by Outlook 2003 and later, on your computer. With it you can browse folders, read messages and other Outlook items such as contacts, calendar items, tasks and notes, search the archive and view archive information. You can save individual attachments and individual messages, and with MailRelic Personal export messages to EML or MBOX and extract attachments in bulk.

MailRelic does not open OST, MBOX or EML files, and it does not open PST files in the older ANSI format used by Outlook 97 to 2002. It does not repair, recover or split PST files. It does not store your archives online or process your email on a server.

3. Free and Personal functionality

The free edition has no time limit and includes:

• opening supported PST files
• browsing folders and reading messages
• searching the archive
• viewing archive information
• saving an individual attachment from a message
• saving an individual message as an .eml file, using the command for that message

MailRelic Personal adds export and extraction jobs: exporting selected messages, a folder or the whole archive to EML, exporting to MBOX, and extracting all attachments in one job. Any job started from the Export dialog needs MailRelic Personal, even if it contains a single message.

4. Licence

We grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use MailRelic under these Terms. You are given a licence to use the software; you do not buy the software itself.

MailRelic Personal is a one-time purchase. There is no subscription and nothing renews. It gives you a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the MailRelic Personal features for your own work, whether that is personal work or work you do for an employer or clients. The licence does not expire.

A MailRelic Personal licence can be active on up to 3 devices at the same time. You can deactivate a device inside the application, which frees that activation for another device. Activation needs an internet connection. The application also confirms the licence with the licence service about once a month; a check that fails only because there is no internet connection does not switch the application back to the free edition.

Your licence key is for your use. Do not publish, share, sell or distribute it.

5. Permitted and prohibited use

You may use MailRelic for any lawful purpose. You may not:

• sell, rent, sublicense or redistribute the software or a licence key;
• share a licence key publicly or with people outside your own use of it;
• work around, disable or tamper with the licence checks;
• remove or change copyright or ownership notices;
• reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble the software, except to the extent the law gives you a right to do so that cannot be excluded by agreement;
• use MailRelic to access archives you are not entitled to access, or to process data unlawfully.

6. Your files and responsibilities

MailRelic is designed to open the source PST read-only and leave it unchanged. Exports and saved attachments are written as new files to a location you choose. This is not a substitute for your own backups: keep a backup of any archive that matters to you, as you would with any software.

You are responsible for having the right and the authority to open, read and export the archives you use with MailRelic, for example archives that belong to an employer or contain other people's email.

Exported files can contain personal, confidential or legally protected information. Once exported, they are ordinary files on your computer, and you are responsible for storing, sharing and deleting them in line with the law and any obligations you have.

Your archives and exports remain yours. We make no claim to them, and because they never reach us, we cannot recover them for you.

7. Compatibility and limitations

MailRelic 1.0.0 supports Unicode PST files on Windows 10 or Windows 11, 64-bit. The free download lets you check whether a particular archive opens and reads correctly before you buy.

We do not guarantee that every PST file will open. Files that are damaged, incomplete or created by software MailRelic does not support may not open, and MailRelic does not repair them.

MailRelic is not forensic, e-discovery or legal archiving software, and it does not claim that an export is a forensically or evidentially complete copy. Export formats cannot represent everything Outlook stores. If you rely on an export for legal, regulatory, evidentiary, archival or business-critical purposes, check the result independently.

8. Purchases

MailRelic Personal is sold by Lemon Squeezy, which acts as merchant of record. Lemon Squeezy sells the licence to you, processes the payment, handles invoicing and calculates and collects any sales tax or VAT that applies. Your purchase is also subject to Lemon Squeezy's buyer terms. These Terms govern your use of MailRelic.

The price and any tax shown at checkout are what you pay. Your card or other payment details do not pass through MailRelic or this website, and we never receive them.

9. 30-day money-back guarantee

MailRelic offers a voluntary 30-day money-back guarantee. You may request a refund within 30 days of purchase. You do not need to give a reason or show that anything is wrong with the software.

To request a refund, write to [email protected] within 30 days of your purchase, from the email address used for the purchase or with your order details. The refund is issued through Lemon Squeezy as merchant of record. After a refund, the licence ends and its licence key may be disabled; the free edition keeps working.

This voluntary guarantee does not limit any mandatory consumer rights you may have under applicable law.

10. Updates and future versions

MailRelic Personal is a one-time purchase, not a subscription. Buying a licence does not by itself give you access to every future release, version or feature of MailRelic.

We may make updates available. MailRelic does not update itself; updates are published on this website. Future versions or features may be offered under different terms or at a different price.

Nothing in this section limits any right to updates, conformity of the software or any other right that applicable consumer law gives you.

11. Intellectual property

We own MailRelic and the rights in it, except for third-party components, which are used under their own licences. Your licence gives you the right to use the software under these Terms, not ownership of it.

Microsoft, Outlook and Windows are trademarks of Microsoft Corporation, and Thunderbird is a trademark of the Mozilla Foundation. MailRelic is not affiliated with or endorsed by either company.

12. Warranty

Except as stated in these Terms and to the extent the law allows, MailRelic is provided as it is and as available. We do not promise that it will open every PST file, that its exports will be complete for every purpose, that it will suit a particular purpose, or that it will run without interruption or errors.

If you are a consumer, this section does not affect your statutory rights, including the legal guarantee that digital content you pay for conforms to the contract and the remedies you have if it does not.

13. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for loss of profit or business, or for loss or corruption of data. Where we are liable, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for your MailRelic Personal licence.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any liability or consumer right that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. This includes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, and for damage caused intentionally or through gross negligence.

14. Mandatory consumer rights

If you are a consumer, you have rights under the law of the country where you live that these Terms cannot take away. Depending on where you live, these can include a statutory right of withdrawal from distance contracts and a legal guarantee that digital content conforms to the contract. How a statutory right of withdrawal applies to digital content that is supplied immediately after purchase is determined by applicable law and by the checkout process of Lemon Squeezy, which sells the licence to you.

The 30-day money-back guarantee in section 9 is in addition to these rights. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any liability or consumer right that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

15. Termination

You can stop using MailRelic at any time and deactivate your licence on your devices.

We may end a licence if it is used in a way these Terms do not allow, such as sharing or reselling a licence key or tampering with the licence checks. If we do, we will tell you why. Ending a licence does not by itself affect any refund you are entitled to or any right you have under applicable law.

16. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. The version published here applies from the date shown at the top. Changes do not apply retrospectively to a purchase already made.

17. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the law of the Republic of Croatia. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory provisions of the law of the country where you live, and you may bring proceedings in the courts of that country.
